Message from Mayor Cristian Popescu Victor Piedone
Welcoming investors to the largest city in southeastern EuropeI had the honor of being elected Mayor of Sector 5 in 2020 with my mission to make the local government a pro-active, transparent and consistent partner of the private sector.
As Sector 5 of Bucharest has the greatest development potential in South-Eastern Europe through a greenfield reserve of over 400 ha, we have embarked on these development areas with the Centenary Project (a new neighborhood of the future with complex functions, developed on about 100 hectares of land) and the Măgurele Laser Valley (a technological hub with the most powerful laser in the world, already functional).
We have taken major steps in the last two years to strengthen our relationship with the business environment focusing on attracting solid partners such as international financial institutions, credit ranking agencies, and participating in Europe’s largest investment fairs.
I invite you to join our development projects, assuring you of the full support from our team of experts.
